I learned a ton of things this last year and it was all very worth it and information I will use for the rest of my life no matter what I do.

I had my capping ceremony last night. It was awesome. It signifies that I have only one more year to go before I am an RN! I am going to post some pictures soon (hopefully).

Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
     and his righteousness endures forever.
           ~Psalm 111: 2-3

Friday, December 22, 2006

Hello from Daytona Beach.

We left bright and early Monday to come to Daytona Beach to celebrate my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary! We arrived around 4:15 in the afternoon. We have had fun trying out the 2 indoor heated pools, the two outdoor heated pools, the lazy river ride(when you get in a tube and the water current moves you around the river), the indoor miniature golf, and the outdoor putt putt, and many other wonderful things. We have been enjoying seeing Jason again. He flew in from Texas on Tuesday. Last night the adults, including Joshua and I went out to eat at a restaurant called "Top of Daytona". It is on the 29th floor and you can see out the whole time that you are eating. Tonight is the big celebration for my grandparents! First we are going out to eat and then we are coming back to our condo to have a ceremony with all of us kids doing something (I am going to recite Prov. 31 in honor of my grandmother).

On Sunday after church, we are going to go to my grandparents house and stay there until we come back. I think that we are leaving and getting back on Friday.

I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating the birth of Christ.

~Rachel~

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

Yea!!!!! I thought I was going to get a "B" in at least one class and all semester I was very close to it in every one of my classes.
At the same time, I am sad because at least three of my friends failed Pharmacology and have to reapply for next year's nursing class.
I can't wait for Christmas!

Thursday, September 28, 2006

What do you think?
Wednesday, July 05, 2006

I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

We have had the privilege of having my grandparents here.

We had a picnic with watermelon, hamburgers, corn on the cob, potato salad, and flag cake with ice cream for dessert.

Then we got finished just in time to see the blast off! My grandparents said that they can normally see the space shuttle from their house in Florida after the shuttle gets up a couple hundred feet.

Then my grandmother shared some from when she was growing up and read the first chapter of the book "Everyone's normal until you get to know them."

For the rest of the afternoon we played Euchre, Rummikub, and watched Little House (we just got the whole 9 seasons from when they were on television).

Then Jacob, Ruth, Rose, and I went swimming in our pool. We decided it was about time to come in when we started getting bit by mosquitoes.

Then finally it was time for the fireworks and we drove down toward Sedley but we stayed a few hundred feet outside of the city. We kept seeing one or two go up every two or three minutes and realized after a while that the real fireworks had not started yet but someone was just doing some in their backyard. Then the real ones came at about 9:10. They were beautiful.

Well, I've got to sign off now.

Rachel
Friday, June 30, 2006

1.)
